Midland Tool & Supply is a Detroit-based company and they had purchased a building in Calumet City where they plan to expand their business. They were referred to Gallagher Asphalt through a large general contractor in the Illinois/Indiana area. Gallagher Asphalt was not the lowest bid, but Midland Tool liked how we went above and beyond to provide recommendations for their parking lot.
This project required a variety of work, including milling, earth excavation, stone placement and regrading, 5" hotmix asphalt, concrete loading docks, bollards, and a retaining wall. Gallagher Asphalt self-performed all of these items on the job. With Gallagher as the single point of contact, the owner was pleased with the ease of scheduling the job and not having to rely upon subcontractors.
When the owner of the job tells you he heard great things about your company through other general contractors, you want to live up to the reputation. It's a proud moment when you’re told you were the right contractor for the job and that you performed above and beyond expectations.
