This project was a complete site full-depth asphalt reconstruction project for all automobile and truck parking areas. The construction schedule called for splitting the property into five separate phases to allow the owner continuous operation throughout construction. The original scope of work included 3 ¾” asphalt removal and replacement in the automobile areas and 6” asphalt removal and replacement in the trucking areas, with stone base re-grading and compacting prior to re-paving of the lots. However once the asphalt was removed Gallagher found the existing base to be unsuitable in many areas, so Gallagher performed extensive undercuts and remediation to correct the base issues prior to re-paving. In the end, Gallagher not only provided new asphalt pavement throughout the property, but also a base that the owner can depend on for years to come.
