Gallagher Asphalt was contracted to place the aggregate base and pave the binder and surface course at a new manufacturing facility in Hobart, IN. In order to avoid the constant congestion on I-94, much of the paving work was completed night. Some quick thinking and research of the area allowed us to switch to a closer stone quarry to improve the production rate for the aggregate base and avoid the congestion at the same time.
