This IDOT project consisted of earth excavation along the shoulders, grading and shaping of the shoulders, placement of asphalt and aggregate shoulders, rumble strip replacement, guardrail removal and replacement, pavement markings and traffic signal modifications; all to provide a safer roadway for the travelling public. The project spanned from Forked Creek Road for nearly 15 miles to Route 52.
